In partnership with Marco Polo by Gryphon, a state-of-the-art lifestyle business hub featuring AAA strata office units and medical space, the discussion was moderated by Vancouver City Councillor Sarah Kirby-Yung, and featured some of the brightest minds in Vancouver’s healthcare ecosystem, including City of Vancouver Councillor Mike Klassen, Dr. Monica Li, MD, FRCPC, FAAD, Cosmetic and Medical Dermatologist at Vancouver Skin MD, Co-Chair of 2023 Glow Gala and Committee Member of BC Women’s Health Foundation, Dr. Faraj Edher, DDS, MSc, FRCD (C), Prosthodontist at Transcend Specialized Dentistry, Founder of BC Dental Study Club, Director of Digital Dentistry Institute, Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia, and Jennifer Hollinshead, MA, RCC-ACS, CCC-S, Trauma Therapist and Supervisor, Founder of Peak Resilience.

They offered insights on the emerging role of AI and technology in healthcare, emphasized the significance of parking spots within office buildings, discussed the potential for co-owning office space in private practices, and highlighted the city’s holistic approach to fostering a healthier living environment.

“A key economic driver for Western Canada, the City of Vancouver boasts unique challenges, one of them being addressing the need for more medical space in the city,” explains Jason Hsu, CEO of Gryphon Development. “We see Marco Polo as an important piece to this puzzle, offering creative AAA office solutions suitable for the healthcare industry, which has, for the first time, surpassed the tech industry as the most active industry in the city.”

Vancouver’s healthcare sector has experienced unprecedented demand. According to the government of British Columbia, by 2032, the demand for health services in B.C. is projected to grow by 14%. Moreover, with the Canadian population expected to reach 57 million by 2068, this demand is anticipated to further increase. With a profound understanding of the evolving needs of business professionals and the changing economy, Marco Polo by Gryphon aims to meet these demands by offering commercial, residential, and retail spaces all under one roof in the dynamic Oakridge District.

The 11-storey mixed-use building will feature three levels that are medical-ready and equipped with plumbing, drainage, and adequate power supply. Conveniently located in close proximity to the Langara-49th Avenue SkyTrain Station, Marco Polo aspires to address the growing demand for well-designed office spaces in Vancouver’s emerging downtown hub.

In addition to its desirable location and proximity to transit, Marco Polo will meet new workplace demands by offering over 10,000 square feet of exclusive workplace and wellness amenities, such as a fully-equipped fitness center, yoga and Pilates studio, sauna room, a coworking lounge, double-height atrium to name a few. Further, Marco Polo will also be home to various retailers, including cafes, restaurants, boutiques, and more.
